Image of God P-8, Ignatius
A comprehensive program based on Scripture, Vatican II and the writings of Pope John Paul II about the human person. The series gives a presentation of the Catholic faith based on seven key concepts: God, creation, Christ, church, grace, sacraments and commandments. Each year emphasizes one concept while reviewing the others. The Preschool program focuses on God and creation.
Preschool Student Books for 3-year-olds and for 4-year-olds contain 17 colorful four-page lessons each with parent notes on the back, along with nine lessons for the liturgical year. The Kindergarten Student Book has 17 six-page weekly lessons and 11 seasonal lessons with parent notes on the back. One Teacher Manual includes lessons for both Preschool levels and Kindergarten in one book.
Student Books are colorful, modern consumable worktexts that provide stories, activities, and basic Catholic vocabulary. Grade 2 uses both a student book and a Mass book with color photos and a step-by-step explanation. A companion Confirmation program, Spreading and Defending the Faith, is available for Grade 8.
Teacher/Catechist Manuals include lesson focus with key objective, lesson presentation and application to daily life. Teacher Resource Binders include scope and sequence, index, correlation with the Catechism, prayers, tests, additional project suggestions and reproducible letters to parents.
